The Way I See It

The Way I See it #196
"The greatest leader is a servant.
Don't be a boss. Be a real leader,
Be a servant leader. A servant leader
is a winner.
Even when he loses everything,
Even when he loses his life, a servant
leaders wins it all."
Pat Williams (Senior VP of the Orlando Magic)

I went to my dad's this morning to help him re-seal his slate floor. While we were waiting for it to dry we drove on over to the good ol' starbucks for a little coffee break. The words above were written on my coffee cup. I love to read them. Every now and then there is one that I can't help but wonder if the person who wrote it was a follower of Jesus. A servant of Jesus. That's what I want to be. A servant leader for Jesus Christ in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. I am less concerned about what I will be doing, how many people I will lead to Christ, and so on. I am more concerned with keeping my eyes on Jesus, my faith rooted and strengthened in Him, my obedience to His voice. Listening.

"The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me"
John 12:25-26

Jackie,

Preach it girl! You've got the right idea:)
It was great seeing you today. Thanks for taking so much time to sit down and chat. It is so encouraging to Ray and I that you are going into missions. As Ray said, "It's a victory when anyone goes into missions". We're behind ya.
Love- Clare
